Dr. Tom Harmantas
Dr. Tom Harmantas is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto and a dual Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He holds a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. A highly regarded academic General Surgical Oncologist and Head and Neck Surgeon, Dr. Harmantas brings over two decades of leadership experience in hospital administration at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, a University of Toronto teaching hospital. His executive roles have included Chief of the Division of General, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery; Chief of Staff; Chief Medical Executive; and Executive Vice President of Clinical Programs. Dr. Harmantas is recognized for his dedication to advancing surgical oncology care, healthcare system leadership, and academic mentorship.

Currently serving as the Chief of Innovation at University Health Network (UHN), he bridges the gap between complex thoracic surgery and pioneering biomedical engineering. Dr. Ved Tandan
Dr. Tandan is an accomplished General and Hepatobiliary Surgical Oncologist with 30 years of experience. He is a pioneer in advanced laparoscopic Liver and Pancreatic surgery including performing the first laparoscopic hepatic lobectomy in Canada. His clinical practice includes General Surgery, Complex Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery as well as Sarcoma surgery. He also performs advanced endoscopy and ERCP. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at McMaster University, Head of General Surgery at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Center, and Chief of Surgery at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He has extensive physician leadership experience at the National, Provincial and Municipal levels. He is a Past President of the Ontario Medical Association, The Hamilton Academy of Medicine, and the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Medical Staff Associataion. He has a Proven track record leading change and quality improvement through partnership with patients, physicians, interprofessional care providers and health system stakeholders.

As the former Interim Chief of Surgery at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, he combines a legacy of institutional leadership with hands-on clinical mastery. His work as a consultant for Canada’s National Basketball team underscores a career dedicated to elite-level functional recovery.

Dr. Andres Santayana is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with diverse experience spanning academic medicine, hospital medicine, and outpatient primary care. As Chief Medical Officer for RevDoc, he leads clinical development strategy at the executive level, shaping how technology-enabled care reaches patients. He completed his residency at Bayfront Health Family Medicine Residency in St. Petersburg, where he was selected as Chief Resident and later returned as Assistant Director, serving as a faculty teaching attending. Throughout his career, Dr. Santayana has held progressive leadership roles in quality improvement, curriculum development, and institutional governance. He co-founded and helped launch a private, physician-owned medical group before joining RevDoc. Clinically, he practices broad-spectrum Family Medicine with a focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and value-based medicine, while incorporating longevity and wellness into many aspects of care. He has built his practice around prevention, early intervention, and the kind of steady, relationship-based care that keeps people healthy over the long term. His guiding principle is empowering patients to take an active role in their own health.

Dr. Alan Tan is a family and emergency physician with advanced expertise in emergency ultrasonography. Trained at McMaster, Queen’s, and Western Universities, he completed a Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasonography at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he now practices and teaches in the emergency department. A Master Instructor with the Canadian Point-of-Care Ultrasound Society, Dr. Tan is actively involved in ultrasound education and research in emergency point-of-care ultrasound, simulation, and medical education.
